Trading analysis and risk modelling
Constraints
Turn an exported trading history into a clear review and scenario workflow
Stack
JavaScript · Python · MT5 HTML trade-history parsing · Monte Carlo simulation
Result
The dashboard accepts an MT5 Trade History HTML export, groups activity into trade ideas, and presents analytical views alongside configurable scenario simulations.

The solution followed the shape of the problem.

A compact project map showing what constrained the work, what changed, and the useful outcome.

Operational friction

Turn an exported trading history into a clear review and scenario workflow

Intervention

Built a hosted JavaScript/Python application with a Trade Journal Analysis tool and a Chain Risk-of-Ruin Simulator. The journal can hand a scenario to the simulator, connecting review of historical activity with exploratory modelling.

Result

The dashboard accepts an MT5 Trade History HTML export, groups activity into trade ideas, and presents analytical views alongside configurable scenario simulations.

What was getting in the way

Traders reviewing an MT5 account history need a practical way to group related activity, inspect performance, and explore risk scenarios without treating either output as trading advice.

What changed and why

Built a hosted JavaScript/Python application with a Trade Journal Analysis tool and a Chain Risk-of-Ruin Simulator. The journal can hand a scenario to the simulator, connecting review of historical activity with exploratory modelling.

The dashboard accepts an MT5 Trade History HTML export, groups activity into trade ideas, and presents analytical views alongside configurable scenario simulations.

MT5 Trade Journal Analysis

Import an MT5 Trade History HTML export to group activity into trade ideas and review performance, equity curve, drawdown, deposits and withdrawals, and realised risk-to-reward information.

Chain Risk-of-Ruin Simulator

Run Monte Carlo scenarios using inputs such as account balance, risk, win rate, reward:risk, ruin threshold, withdrawal or reset choices, restart pool, and long-term savings settings. Scenarios are exploratory, not financial advice or a guarantee of outcomes.
