Flash → Webcam HTTP Server

Replaced a sunsetting Adobe Flash component invisibly to users — no change to the teller UI.

Role
Integration developer
Sector
Financial services and branch operations
Constraints
Flash end-of-life, zero retraining, and an unchanged teller interface
Stack
Local HTTP server · Webcam capture · C#
Result
The Flash dependency was removed before its end-of-life with zero retraining and zero disruption to the tellers using it daily — the strongest kind of migration, the kind nobody notices happened.

The solution followed the shape of the problem.

A compact project map showing what constrained the work, what changed, and the useful outcome.

Operational friction

Flash end-of-life, zero retraining, and an unchanged teller interface

Intervention

Built a lightweight local HTTP server that served the webcam feed in a way the existing interface could consume without modification, replacing Flash's role without changing what tellers saw or how they worked.

What was getting in the way

A teller-facing application depended on an Adobe Flash component to display a webcam feed. With Flash being sunset industry-wide, the component was on a hard deprecation clock, and any visible change to the interface risked disrupting daily branch operations.
