Privacy notice
This notice covers the quote request form — the only place on this site that collects personal data.
What's collected
When you submit the quote request form, I collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number, if you provide one
- Company name, if you provide one
- The message you write about your project
- Your IP address
- Your browser's user agent string
Why the IP address and user agent are logged
These two fields exist purely for abuse prevention: rate limiting (so one visitor can't flood the form with submissions) and spam/bot detection. They are not used for tracking, analytics, or marketing, and the form loads no third-party scripts or cookies of any kind — see the home page and site build notes for the no-CDN, no-tracker approach this whole site takes.
How long it's kept
- Rate-limit records (one row per submission attempt, used only to enforce the 10-per-hour limit) are pruned once they fall outside the trailing 60-minute window — in practice, within about an hour of being written.
- Your IP address on a submitted request is deleted (set to empty) automatically two weeks after submission.
- The rest of the submission — name, email, message, and so on — is retained so I can follow up on the enquiry. I don't have an automated deletion schedule for it beyond that; email me if you'd like your submission removed.
Who sees it
Submissions are stored in a database I control and emailed to me directly. Nothing is shared with or sold to any third party.
